Maarten Schmidt founded Storyhouse in 2013. He worked in the creative and production department of over 17 films, most of which documentaries. All of which have been broadcast, some with an international theatrical release.
His first 2 productions as a producer: ‘Ne me quitte pas’ and ‘Our City’ premiered at IDFA and were awarded at international film festivals such as Tribeca, Hot Docs, Docaviv, Milano Film Fest, FIFF Namur. BBC broadcasted his production ‘Saints’. The co-production ‘Coeurope’, made with RAI3, premiered in the Mid-Length Competition at IDFA.
In 2017, Storyhouse produced the first Belgian youth documentary supported by the VAF and co-produced with Dutch broadcaster EO-IKON.
Daniel Lambo stands at the junction of fiction and documentary film. After studying literature and scriptwriting, Daniel started writing for theater, TV and cinema. He wrote and developed television drama.
As a director, Daniel embraces social themes. He worked as director, writer and producer on over 20 fiction and documentary films. Some of his films had a wide theatrical release in Belgium and were broadcasted.
